NEW DATES ANNOUNCED - 6-8 June 2011
The leading technology-neutral meeting place for the broadband access industry
Fixed broadband subscriptions are expected to grow by 40.91% globally by 2014 to an outstanding 811,880,038. FTTH/FTTB subscriptions will grow by a massive 159% in the same period to 139,419,205 (1). With huge increases in data-hungry services, FTTx will play a pivotal role in operator’s next generation network strategy, both for fixed and mobile services. FTTx is making strong progress, especially in Eastern Europe despite the economic downturn. Different countries are still, however, at different levels of advancement in deploying their next generation fibre networks, coupled with the roll-out and commitment to different technologies for PON.
IIR’s 5th Annual FTTx & Next Generation conference will provide operators with key insights into the commercial and technical commitments required to develop a high speed next generation fibre network. Delegates will hear presentations from leading operators on their experiences developing their networks and implementing profitable business models. Attendees will be able to have their questions answered during interactive panel discussions and networking breaks. FTTx 2011 will also discuss in detail the best migration strategies to next generation networks as well as addressing the evolution on PON technologies. The role of DSL & legacy network acceleration will also be addressed and how much more operators can squeeze from their existing networks.
